Spears vs Spears

According to the New York Post, Britney Spears’ father, Jamie, sent them an email  saying that Britney  blames where she is in her career and what has happened with her kids, on both her family and her fired manager Larry Rudolph . Her father then apologizing to Rudolph on behalf of the “Spears family” for his daughter’s behavior and negative comments about being sent to rehab. Spears’ rep  then replied that she is “praying for my father. We have never had a good relationship. It’s sad that all the men that have been in my life do not know how to accept a real woman’s love.”

More gossip around the death of former Playmate who was found in a hotel room this past week dead at age 39.  Legal battles continue over not just the identity of who her newborn’s father is, but over her own death. DNA testing has been ordered by one judge. This also re-opens the idea that Smith used the frozen sperm of her late husband to have the baby girl. Which would give a new face to the estate battle she was in at the time of her death.

Channel 4:Pollock Painting May Not Be Real

Abstract artist Jackson Pollock who was at the hight of his career in the late 1940’s earily 1950’s created what was to be known as the Splatter Technique.

Now decades after his dead in 1956  three paintings thought to be done by him have come under question.  The Pollock-Krasner Foundation, set up under the will of Pollock’s widow, painter Lee Krasner, is said to be looking into things.

The paintings in question are said to have used paints that were not available when Pollock was still alive.

Channel 4: MySpace got Worms

Thousands of Myspace users (myself included) can’t log into their profiles. Myspace was hit this past week with a worm that has somehow eaten links and replaced user information with other links. The creators have had no choice but to shut down Myspace login untill further notice. No report on just how much damnage was (is still) done to people’s profiles and pages.

Channel 4: Tax Cutters

The star of the Blade series of movies Welsey Snipes was arrested after surrending to police  for tax fraud. The actor was released this morning on $1million bond. He was charged for not filing between 1999-2004. It is said that this will not hold up the shooting schedual of his latest film, a western that is in production in Africa.

Channel 4: Students gone too far

Baltimore students have overstepped the lines of decent and racial exceptinse when they hosted a Hallowe’en party a few weeks ago, called “Halloween in the Hood.”

The members of the Sigma Chi have been put on social probation untill January 2008, but the Univeristy heads. This means the fraternity can not hold parties or other social events.

They were found guilty on Monday of racial stereotyping and indangerment towards the Black Student Body.

Channel 4: Asteroids Get an Upgrade

The BBC News has reported that the Solar System as we know it is about to get a facelift.  3 New Planets have been the topic of concern as of late. In the past 16 years astronomers have discovered several other objects in an outer region within the Kuiper Belt that can be considered planets. The new objects are being called  Charon, UB313, and Ceres.  Charon is being called a moon of Pluto.
